Research on Preventing and Controlling Sexual Assault of Minors in Residential Areas:A Case Study of C City in S Province
Residential areas are an important place for minors to grow and live,and the formation of a rule of law environment in residential areas is crucial to the healthy growth of minors.By analyzing the crimes of sexual assault of minors that have occurred in residential areas in C City of S Province,it was found that the source of the cases was mainly from the parents'reports.Without taking into account the black number of crimes of sexual assault of minors,the statistics reflect the crime situation is still relatively serious.Sexual assault of minors in residential areas is characterized by special targets and specific areas of crime,with obvious features in terms of victims,perpetrators,places of operation,and modes of operation.The interaction between the external conditions favorable to the implementation of the crime and the victim's strong victimization and other elements in small areas leads to the occurrence of sexual assault crimes.The situational crime prevention theory,with its emphasis on crime situations and proactive preventive measures,aligns strongly with the prevention of sexual assault of minors in residential areas.From the perspective of situational crime prevention theory,the construction of this type of crime prevention and control system should mainly start from three aspects,namely,increasing the difficulty of crime,improving the risk of crime and reducing the stimulation of crime.
