Examination and Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency:A Perspective of Ecological System Theory
Juvenile delinquency is an issue of social concern, and the effectiveness of juvenile delinquency control has a bearing on national security and social stability. The frequent occurrence of crimes committed by minors is characterized by their young age and low level of education, the high proportion of males and the presence of tattoos on their bodies, the concentration of gangs and the types of cases they commit, and the intelligence of their criminal techniques and their predominance of local crimes. The objective reasons for this situation include the imperfection of the crime prevention mechanism, the lack of coordination of the industry supervision mechanism, the lack of a sound dropout control mechanism, the lack of attention to the supervision of family education, the lack of implementation of school education and management, and the lack of employment guidance and assistance, while the subjective reasons include the lack of the minors'self-control ability, the lack of recognition of the negative information on the Internet, and the lack of motivation to learn morality and law.The prevention of juvenile delinquency is intrinsically coupled with the ecological system theory. Therefore, the prevention of juvenile delinquency should be based on the ecological system theory, and the juvenile delinquency prevention strategy should be proposed from the dimensions:strengthening the mechanism of crime prevention, cooperating with the industry supervision mechanism and improving the mechanism of controlling dropouts and maintaining school dropouts on the macro-system;strengthening the responsibility of supervising the education of the family, implementing the education management system of the school, and improving the mechanism of helping with the employment guidance and guidance on the mezzo-system;and strengthening juveniles'self-control abilities, promoting green internet use,and reinforcing moral and legal education on the micro-system.
