Study on the Governance of the Crime of Sexual Assault Against Minors:A Case Study of the Sexual Assault Against Minors Cases in P County,S Province from 2021 to 2023
The frequent cases of sexual assault against minors have aroused high public attention.Because of the unique nature of minors'physical and mental development,the crime of sexual assault against minors has its own characteristics different from other crimes.In the judicial determination of cases of sexual assault against minors,there are problems such as small amount of evidence,no confirmation of direct evidence,and indirect evidence that can only corroborate the truth of the victim's statement from a certain side,leading to difficulty in conviction.In terms of social governance,there are difficulties such as lack of sex education in schools and families,difficult to detect and regulate online sexual assault,difficult to cut off the source of crime,and difficult to fill the loopholes in governance.To construct the governance pattern of sexual assault against minors,it is needed to strengthen the general prevention in advance,strengthen and improve the certification system,handle the matter with"zero tolerance",and enhance post-event continuous deterrence.
