Application and Example Analysis of Sonar Method for Karst Detection at the Bottom of a Foundation Pile in a Certain Project
Guizhou belongs to the karst landform in the western region, where underground karst is usually more developed and there are many karst geological hazards, which seriously affect the safety performance of pile foundations such as highways, bridges, and buildings. In order to eliminate hidden dangers,it is necessary to conduct karst detection at the pile bottom before and after pile formation. Most of the current foundation pile are cast-in-place piles formed by rotary drilling or impact hole. The piles are filled with mud slurry, and personnel and other equipment cannot detect the bottom of the piles in the mud; Therefore,it has caused the problem that it is difficult to solve the karst cave at the bottom of the pile. The elastic wave(sonar)detection method is suitable for the hole pile detection of the mud protection.Compared with other geophysical exploration methods, the sonar method effectively uses the mud as the coupled propagation medium.
