Analysis of the Spatial Distribution of Farmland Irrigation Development in Guizhou Province based on Hierarchical Clustering
Taking 88 counties and districts in Guizhou Province as research objects,13 characteristics of farmland irrigation development were selected as similar indicators.Principal component analysis and hierarchical clustering methods were used to classify the development of farmland irrigation in each county and district, and spatial distribution status was analyzed according to the classification. The results indicate that Guizhou Province can be divided into 5 similar regions, and the spatial distribution pattern of farmland irrigation development is obvious. The spatial distribution of water and soil resources in Guizhou Province is uneven, and the irrigation rate of cultivated land is lower than the national average(51%).The spatial distribution of water and soil resource utilization is uneven, and there are significant regional differences in agricultural output. From the west to the east, the proportion of dry land in the cultivated land area decreases, the proportion of paddy fields increases, and the irrigation rate of cultivated land increases; The proportion of economic crops in the crop planting structure decreases, while the proportion of grain crops increases, resulting in an increase in the total grain yield.Based on the characteristics of irrigation in various regions, suitable agricultural modernization construction directions and development models should be formulated from the aspects of rational planning of farmland irrigation projects, optimization of crop planting structure, and promotion of modern management in irrigation areas.
