Causes and Management Measures of Cracks in a Concrete Reservoir
After the completion of the reservoir construction in a project,numerous vertical and turtle-shaped cracks appear on the surface of the reservoir body,accompanied by multiple seepage during full water testing.In order to investigate the causes behind these cracks in the reservoir,this paper employs analytical methods to investigate the causes of reservoir cracks,focusing on structural design,raw material selection and construction.Based on the analysis of field data,it is concluded that the primary factors contributing to these cracks are the excessive stone powder content in the concrete and inadequate maintenance.The proposed measures for treatment and prevention of cracks in concrete reservoirs aim to provide guidance for similar projects.
