Discussion on Temperature Control and Crack Prevention during the Construction of Roller-compacted Concrete Dam in Summer
In order to investigate temperature control and crack prevention during the construction of a Roller-compacted concrete(RCC)dam in summer,a dam of a hydropower station is taken as an example.By integrating engineering practice, the key and challenging aspects of temperature control in dam construction are identified in this study.Furthermore, simulation analysis is conducted using the heterogeneous laminated element method to propose a temperature control design standard. The temperature control and crack prevention measures of RCC dam are finally analyzed and discussed, focusing on reducing the hydration heat of concrete, regulating the concrete storage temperature and managing the temperature difference between interior and exterior. The findings demonstrate the viability of implementing comprehensive temperature control measures in hydraulic RCC structures to ensure the construction quality of dam concrete.
