In order to study the spatial distribution characteristics of soil erosion in Liaoning Province,this study used GIS technology and RUSLE model to quantitatively analyze soil erosion in Liaoning Province.The study showed that rainfall erosion force(R),soil erodibility(K),topography(LS),vegetation cover management(C)and soil and water conservation factor(P)in Liaoning Province showed different degrees of heterogeneity.Erosion modulus in the study area ranged from 0 to 4 695 t/(hm2·a),with a mean value of 27.5 t/(hm2·a),and the overall erosion was mild;Its erosion modulus had obvious spatial variability,and the high erosion risk was distributed in patches in the Changbai Mountains and the local area of the western Liaoning hills.The erosion modulus decreases with the increase of vegetation cover,and the regional erosion modulus is highest in cultivated land and garden land.
