The Study Investigates the Impact of Short-term Rainstorms on the Hydraulic Performance of Soil Slope
The GEOSTUDIO numerical simulation software was employed to analyze and calculate the seepage variation of soil slope under rainstorm conditions, aiming to investigate the hydraulic variation characteristics. The results indicate a gradual decrease in the total water head within the slope soil from its highest point to its lowest, with a reversal occurring at the groundwater level. The maximum total water head is observed at the top of the slope. The occurrence of rainfall leads to an increase in groundwater levels, resulting in changes in pore pressure from the surface to the half-frameof the slope. The results can provide reliable reference for the change of hydraulic performance of soil slope under similar rainfall conditions.
