The centralized jurisdiction of environmental resource cases in the Yellow River Basin is a specific measure for implementing the overall concept of environmental governance and protection in the basin, which holds great significance in effectively protecting the ecological environment of the basin. However, the current practice of centralized jurisdiction over environmental resource cases in the Yellow River Basin presents decentralized characteristics,There are issues such as a systematic lack of regulatory norms, varying jurisdiction areas, limited separation between centralized jurisdiction and administrative divisions, resulting in inefficient judicial protection for environmental conservation in the basin. In order to effectively improve the situation,it is necessary to adhere to the concept of environmental attribute in basin system governance and promote the process of specialized environmental judiciary by enhancing the normative basis for centralized jurisdiction, clarifying the rules for unified jurisdiction scope, and exploring the establishment of watershed environmental courts. This will enable effective protection of the ecological environment in the Yellow River Basin.
