Flood control governance should adhere to the principle of harmonious development between human and nature,effective flood protection,and flood discharge.It is necessary to take into overall consideration of the governance of medium or small rivers,the protection of channel ecological environment,and the development and utilization of water resources.It is also necessary to properly coordinate the relationship between the governance of small and medium-sized rivers and the flood control standards of downstream rivers.In the paper the design of typical engineering works such as river channel engineering,embankment and bridge are discussed.
