Measures for River Regulation in the Gongchanzhuyi Canal Reconstruction Project
River regulation is the important foundation for sustainable social development in China.During the long-term operation of the Gongchanzhuyi Canal,many problems occurred,for example,the obstructed sections in the channel are increasing,flood section is reduced,and water level rises in flood season,affecting flood discharge,therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the river regulation.The article proposes targeted measures for river regulation on the basis of analysis of the current situation of and the problems in the Gongchanzhuyi Canal,including dredging the channel,regulating the river regime,control of river bank collapse,and improving flood control standards,to protect the lives and properties safety of the people along the banks of the river and promote the coordinated development of local economy and environment.
