During the construction process of rockfill concrete dams, the division of concrete into multiple areas significantly affects construction efficiency. In particular, the mutual interference between the rockfill process and the construction of formwork, galleries, etc.,leads to the necessity of first carrying out the formwork erection and pouring of other high-strength concrete areas in conventional construction, followed by the pouring of low-strength concrete, which undoubtedly increases construction costs. In response to the complexity of the connection between different strength concretes in dam construction, effectively solving the problems of large interference between processes and low construction efficiency.Compared with the traditional zoning pouring method, this technology can reduce construction unit prices by 23%to 36%.Therefore,this construction method has the potential to be widely applied in other rockfill concrete projects in China.
