Analysis and Practice of Comprehensive Management Measures for Brackish Groundwater Areas with the Characteristic of Silt Geology
The poor water quality in saline groundwater areas has long been a concern for local drinking water safety for humans and livestock. The silt geology of river channel leads to water blockage during floods, causing bank collapse and posing adverse effects on agricultural irrigation.Through comprehensive management, the difficulties in drinking water for humans and livestock and irrigation of farmland have been effectively addressed. This paper summarizes the treatment of brackish groundwater and surface water substitution, and diversion of water from the Danjiang River through pipelines for human and livestock consumption.By addressing the silt geology of river channel, the Yellow River water is effectively used for agricultural irrigation, that ensures the bumper harvest in agriculture production. In particular, the implementation of silt geology treatment technology provides reference for solving similar problems in the future.
