Study on the Water Resources of Yongji Canal(Wei River)of Sui-Tang Grand Canal in North Henan
As the linear cultural heritage of the Sui-tang Grand Canal,the Yongji Canal(Weihe River)in north Henan still remains its river channel,with the characteristics of rich historical folk culture.However,the development of culture-enriched tourism of the towns along the Weihe River(Yongji Canal)is restricted by the lack of water resources.In this context,the measures should be adopted including the conservation of tributary water sources,control of the excessive capture of flow in the upper reaches,supply of water from the South-to-North Water Diversion Project,etc.to support the sustainable water resources development.
