Traffic-driven epidemic spreading dynamics with heterogeneous recovery rates
Current researches on traffic-driven epidemic spreading in complex networks assume that all nodes have the same recovery rates. However, the impact of heterogeneous recovery rates between nodes is unclear. This paper studies the influence of heterogeneous recovery rates on the threshold of epidemic spreading, and concludes that network structure, traffic flow, recovery rate allocation strat-egy and routing strategy can adjust the threshold. When the node transmission capacity is unlimited and the traffic is in free flow, the appropriate recovery rate allocation strategy can improve the epi-demic spreading threshold, and the coupling of recovery rate allocation strategy and routing strategy can further improve the epidemic spreading threshold, which effectively inhibits the spread of epidemic in the network. When the node transmission capacity is limited and there is traffic congestion in the network, the epidemic spreading threshold increases, indicating that the existence of traffic congestion will inhibit epidemic outbreak.
