On the Dispute Between Ye Xie's Poetry and Tang and Song Poetry
Ye Xie was a fairly important figure for the poetry of the early Qing dynasty,who traveled ex-tensively and had close ties with the Tang and Song schools.On the one hand,Ye Xie spoke highly of Song poetry in the"Original Poem",which elevated the status of Song poetry.On the other hand,he theoretically sought to take the poetic essence of both the Tang and Song dynasties.However,his favor of Song poetry can be easily found,which is reflected in his poetry so as to make his poetry diversified but somewhat special for its shade of the Song poetry.
