Anhui culture is a regional culture as well as a quintessence of traditional Chinese culture.Therefore,investigation on its transformation in modern easel paintings boasts significant value for re-search on such subjects as localization of foreign culture and inheritance of local culture.From the per-spectives of reproduction and presentation of cultural landscapes,the application of traditional paint-ing media(materials)and the inheritance and transformation of the spiritual image of"Anhui culture",the paper holds the view that Anhui culture exerts comprehensive influence on the easel paintings of Anhui and Anhui culture has gone through the transformation of modernity in modern easel paintings,while the traditional culture of materials and spirit was inherited with the marriage of extraneous and modern art of painting.
