Based on the measurement methods of digital development level and the position in global value chain in relevant literature,an index was constructed to measure the development level of digital economy in China with entropy method.Based on the integration of ADB—MRIO and UIBE GVC data from 2007 to 2018,an empirical analysis was made of the impact of digital economy on the position of China's manufacturing industry in global value chain.The research results show that the development of digital economy has a promoting effect on the position of China's manufacturing industry in global value chain,and the impact of digital economy development on different types of manufacturing indus-tries is heterogeneous.The impact on the position of labor-intensive manufacturing industry in global value chain is not significant,and the impact on the position of capital-intensive and technology-in-tensive manufacturing industry in global value chain is significantly positive.Among them,the impact on the position of capital-intensive manufacturing industry in the global value chain is the biggest.
