The Lagging Effect of Air Pollution on the Transmission of Viral Respiratory Diseases
Since there is an obvious lag in the effect of air pollution on human respiratory diseases, this paper establishes a class of time-lag models of viral respiratory disease transmission under air pollu-tion in order to investigate the effect of air pollution time lag on the spread of viral respiratory diseases. It is found that the model will have two local disease equilibrium under certain conditions, one of which is unstable, and the other undergoes a stability switch with the increase of time lag. This shows that the time lag has a large effect on the stability of the system. In addition,saddle-node branching oc-curs when there is only one endemic equilibrium in the system.
