Preparation and Application of PDMS/CNT/MXene Hollow Microspheres Composite Membrane
The removal of oily sewage and the purification of domestic water is one of the current envi-ronmental treatment problems. In this study, hydrophobic hollow MXene microspheres(HSMX)were prepared by thermal treating the cationic polystyrene microspheres coated with MXene nanosheets(CPS@MXene)via a sacrificing-template method.Hydrophobic PDMS/CNT/HSMX composite mem-branes were prepared on the polytetrafluoroethylene(PVDF)bottom membrane by adding a certain proportion of hydroxylated carbon nanotubes(CNT-OH)and an appropriate amount of polydimethyl-siloxane(PDMS)through a vacuum assisted filtration method. The membrane exhibited good oil-wa-ter separation performance, with a separation efficiency of 98.8%for water-in-oil emulsion of carbon tetrachloride and a separation flux of 470 L/m2·h·bar.In addition, the composite membrane showed good recyclability.
