Self-medication is common among the people in China,and the incidence of irrational use of drugs is high.For reducing these phenomenon,Tianjin University of Technology set up a public elective course with drug safety as the main content.The goal of the course is to enable students to understand the basic medicinal knowledge,improve common sense of safe drug use and comprehensively improve students'health literacy.The content of the public elective courses on drug safety is based on the knowledge of pharmaceutical administration,with some basic knowledge of health food and cosmetics.Thus students can fully understand the knowledge of drugs and related products,and reasonably carry out safe self-medication.At the same time,this course aims to strengthen moral education and cultivate people,some cases of closely related to the objectives,inspiring,typical,and with rich ideological and political connotations were added into this course.The course content organically combines ideological and political elements to improve the scientific quality and humanistic quality of college students,while realizing and strengthening the value guidance.
