Oilfield Hydrogen Sulfide Risk Management Strategy Based on Protective Layer Analysis Method
This article takes the major risk of hydrogen sulfide in oilfield development projects as its starting point and explores how to enhance the risk control of hydrogen sulfide through a more comprehensive management strategy. It adopts the protection layer analysis method, covering aspects from the intrinsic safety of equipment to the daily management of facilities, ultimately forming a well-rounded management approach.Using the current hydrogen sulfide risk situation in an overseas natural gas processing plant as an application scenario, the article applies the protection layer analysis method to improve safety from both the perspectives of process intrinsic safety and operational safety.Techniques such as optimizing equipment materials and implementing automated emergency interlock systems are employed to achieve full-process protection against hydrogen sulfide hazards. In the end, successful safety management practices are achieved, providing insights for safety management in similar fields.
