Welding and Control of Suction Anchor Cast Steel and Carbon Steel
Cast steel has the characteristics of high strength and stable performance,and is widely used in the main lifting point structure of suction anchors.In order to control the cost in the project production,the design will reduce the size of the cast steel drop point,plus a ring of carbon steel E36 transition splints frame welded with cast steel to compensate for the size,but the cast steel has high carbon content and poor weldability,and the welding with E36 steel is prone to crack defects,and the repair parts are more frequent at the root of the weld path,which is difficult to repair.The welding requirements are formulated in detail to ensure the qualified rate of welding between the suction anchor steel and the common carbon steel dissimilar steel,which provides reference experience for the manufacture of similar structures.
