Adaptive Transformation and Application for Internal Inspection of Single Point Oil Extraction Pipeline
The single point oil extraction pipeline at an onshore oil terminal in the western South China Sea was unable to carry out through-ball internal inspection due to the lack of design of pig receiver and launcher device, resulting in the inability to timely detect different defects in the pipeline and the existence of major potential safety and environmental protection hazard.Aiming at the special structure of the single point mooring system, the simple vertical bidirectional two-in-one pig receiver and launcher was transformed, designed and installed independently, and the water supply and drainage process was added, which realized the pipeline internal inspection function of positive and negative circulation through-ball.Through this adaptive transformation, the first pipeline internal inspection was completed and it was found that the main defects of the pipeline was the external corrosion of onshore pipeline section and the reinforcement and repair were carried out, which ensured the safe, environmentally friendly and reliable operation of the pipeline. At the same time,it created the economic benefit of 11 million yuan and possessed reference significance for the adaptive transformation of similar pipeline internal inspection.
