Discussion on Pressure Control and Pressurization of Liquid Hydrogen Storage Tank in Hydrogenation Station
Liquid hydrogen boasts high storage density,purity,and fast filling,making it ideal for China's future hydrogenation needs.However,a technological gap exists compared to international standards,particularly in liquid hydrogen storage tanks'pressure control systems.This paper focuses on unloading-process pressure control,specifically examining the key points of pump-based unloading,including pump type,material compatibility,and safety features.Secondly,the crucial factors for effective pressure control in unloading vehicles,emphasizing safety,efficiency,and equipment reliability were discussed.Various pressure control options were explored within the storage tank,with a detailed investigation of pump selection,safety performance,and temperature control for the pump-unloading mode.Finally,the paper proposes an optimal pressure control method for Chinese hydrogen refueling stations,recommending a booster carburetor located outside the tank.The need for future development of zero-emission hydrogen pressure control systems with recovery capabilities was highlighted.This paper offers valuable insights into pressure control technology for liquid hydrogen storage,contributing to the advancement of China's hydrogen energy infrastructure.
