Cosmetic raw materials determine the quality,efficacy and safety of cosmetics.Cosmetic raw materials can be divided into two categories:organic and inorganic,and organic raw materials can be divided into natural and artificial sources.Different technical paths can produce different cosmetic raw materials,and there are currently four main technical paths:chemical synthesis,plant extraction,biological fermentation and synthetic biology.This article mainly elaborates the technical principles and applications of the main production technologies of cosmetic raw materials,and makes a comparative analysis from the technical difficulty,cost-effectiveness and environmental impact.
