As hubs of technological advancement,university chemistry research laboratories often involve the handling of hazardous substances,which can lead to safety concerns.To foster a culture of prioritizing safety among researchers,it is imperative for academic institutions to bolster their safety protocols,offer comprehensive training programs,equip labs with necessary protective gear,and refine their safety policies.These efforts are designed to raise awareness about safety and environmental stewardship among researchers and to improve their readiness to manage crises.This study delves into the potential dangers present in university chemistry research labs and suggests strategies to prevent such risks.
