Study Focuses on the Flow Regulation Method of A Lean Glycol Injection Pump on An Offshore Platform
The demand for lean glycol injection into the wellhead gradually decreases with the stable operation of subsea production in an offshore platform pipeline, necessitating adjustments to the flow rate of the lean glycol injection pump based on actual conditions. This paper thoroughly examines four aspects:bypass regulation, changes in pump speed, alterations to plunger stroke and diameter, and top opening suction valve regulation. It fully analyzes the feasibility and economy of these transformations. After careful comparison and analysis, changing the plunger diameter emerges as the most cost-effective and reliable method for adjusting the flow rate mode of the lean glycol pump.
