Intermediate fluid vaporizer(IFV)is one of the three types of vaporizers mainly used in liquefied natural gas(LNG)receiving terminals.IFV,different from other LNG vaporizers,has many advantages and has shown a great potential for future applications.IFV is the first choice for many LNG receiving terminals.This paper introduces the characteristics and structural forms of IFV,expounds the research status of IFV at home and abroad from the aspects of IFV the selection of material,the selection of intermediate fluids,heat transfer calculation,structure research,manufacturing and so on,and lists some IFV applications,and finally analyzes and prospects its development trend.
