This article discusses the application of distributed control systems(DCS)in the petrochemical industry.Firstly,the development trend of the petrochemical industry and the basic concepts and characteristics of DCS are introduced.Subsequently,the challenges and opportunities faced by the petrochemical industry were analyzed,as well as the application of emerging technologies in the industry.Further exploration was conducted on the application cases of DCS in petrochemical production processes,as well as its role in improving industry safety and efficiency.In response to the challenges of DCS technology in the new development direction,this article proposes corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.Finally,the important role and future development trends of DCS technology in the petrochemical industry were summarized.
