White back maple is one of the national medicinal plant resources in China,which not only plays a role in medical treatment,but also can be used as a honey source plant to extract volatile oil,which has certain development value.So far,the research reports on the aroma components of white maple(also known as Qirixiang)are limited.In this paper,the volatile oil of the flower sequence and the dry inflorescence of the white maple was extracted by steam distillation and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS).The results showed that there were 37 and 48 main chemical components in the volatile oil of the flower sequence and the dry inflorescence,respectively,among which there were 7 components.At the same time,the paper also introduced the application value of its main components,in order to provide reference for the development and utilization of the volatile oil.
