Abstract
The petrochemical industry is one of the key pillars of the global economy and plays a vital role in the production of energy and chemical products.As technology advances,the industry is under pressure to improve efficiency,ensure safety,reduce environmental impact,and respond to market changes.This paper discusses the characteristics and requirements of petrochemical automation,including its applications in model predictive control(MPC),artificial intelligence and machine learning,optimization control and process optimization,and safety and environmental protection control.Examples show how these technologies can improve production efficiency,ensure process safety,reduce environmental impact and respond to market demands in actual production.
