Simultaneous Determination of 14 Fluorescent Whitening Agents in Furniture Surface Coatings Using High-performance Liquid Chromatography Diode Array(HPLC-DAD)Detection Method
A high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array(HPLC-DAD)detection method was established to simultaneously determine 14 fluorescent whitening agents in furniture surface coatings.By optimizing the pre-treatment and chromatographic conditions,it was determined that the sample was extracted with acetonitrile and subjected to ultrasonic extraction in an alkaline environment at pH 11 for 40 minutes.The extraction solution was then subjected to high-performance liquid chromatography diode array analysis after passing through the membrane.The results showed that the 14 fluorescent whitening agents had a good linear relationship within a certain concentration range,and the correlation coefficients(r)were not less than 0.998 2,with detection limits ranging from 0.8 mg/kg to 6.1 mg/kg.The spiked recovery rates were between 80.8%and 111.5%,indicating good accuracy.Methodological validation confirmed that this method is suitable for the determination of fluorescent whitening agents in furniture surface coatings.
