Management Strategies for Ethylene Production Process
Ethylene is a vital raw material in the petrochemical industry, with its production process being intricate, encompassing steps such as cracking, quenching, compression, and cryogenic separation. This paper delves into issues prevalent in ethylene production process, including uneven temperature distribution in reactors, coking of pyrolysis furnace tubes, and the complexity of distillation column operations. It subsequently proposes a series of optimization strategies.By optimizing feedstock distribution, enhancing heat and mass transfer, improving furnace tube materials, and selecting optimal cracking conditions, the uniformity of the temperature field is significantly improved, the rate of coke deposition is slowed down, and the stability of distillation column operations is heightened.Practical applications have demonstrated that these optimizations lead to an increase in ethylene yield by over 3 percentage points and a reduction in energy consumption by more than 10%,thereby providing theoretical guidance and practical evidence for the safe, efficient, and stable operation of ethylene plants.
