Application and Analysis of Precise Managed Pressure Drilling in Fuxing Gas Field in Turkmenistan
The Karlov-Oxford terrace in the Turkmenistan Fuxing Gas field is extremely sensitive to pressure, and the formation has developed fractures and pores, resulting in serious overflow and lost circulation during drilling, and high H2S content. These factors lead to high well control risks and difficulty in drilling, and it is usually difficult to drill the designed drilling depth. In response to the above technical problems,Turkmenistan introduced the precise managed pressure drilling technology, which realizes the purpose of maintaining accurate and stable control of bottomhole pressure through real-time monitoring of spill parameters during drilling, optimizing and adjusting drilling fluid density and wellhead back pressure and other technical measures. The precise managed pressure drilling technology successfully helped the three continued drilling Wells to complete with high quality and efficiency, and set a record for the lowest drilling fluid density in the block with a density of 1.28g/cm3.Compared with conventional drilling, the average loss per well was reduced by 87%,the complex processing time was reduced by 94%,and the ROP was increased by 171%.And achieve the goal of drilling the production layer once with a minimum drilling cycle of 16.06 days. The successful application of this technology provides technical reference and practical experience for the development of fractured reservoirs in Turkmenistan.
