Analysis of Dust Explosion Risk in 3D Printing Process
With the increasingly widespread application of 3D printing technology, the production safety issues of 3D printing enterprises have become apparent. The series of dust explosion accidents that occurred during the 3D printing process have sounded the alarm for people. The highly active metal powders used in micrometer level 3D printing, such as aluminum alloys and titanium alloys, belong to combustible dust.Improper operation can easily lead to dust explosion, causing production safety accidents and even serious accident consequences. Therefore, studying the causes of dust explosion in the 3D printing process and how to prevent and control it is of great significance. This article analyzes the hazardous characteristics of materials used in 3D printing and the hazards of the process flow, summarizes the possible process links that may cause combustion accidents, and proposes corresponding prevention and control measures,in order to provide reference for preventing similar accidents.
