In the fine chemical and pharmaceutical industries,regenerative thermal oxidizers(RTOs)are a key equipment used to control air pollution in industrial processes.RTO utilizes high-temperature combustion of organic pollutants to convert them into carbon dioxide and water.However,RTO equipment often faces various corrosion problems during operation,which may be caused by chemical reactions,physical factors,or microbial activities,seriously affecting the efficiency and lifespan of the equipment.This paper discusses in detail the structure and function of RTO equipment in the fine chemical and pharmaceutical industry,the operating environment,and the chemical,physical,and biological factors that cause corrosion to the equipment.Further analysis was conducted on effective corrosion protection measures,including selecting appropriate anti-corrosion materials,applying anti-corrosion coatings,and optimizing environmental control measures.The practical application effects and data support of these measures were demonstrated through relevant case studies,providing practical guidance and solutions for corrosion problems in the industry.
