Analysis and Evaluation of Blockage Problems in Drilling Throttle Valves
The clogging of the valve cavity is one of the main forms of valve failure under the condition of continuous operation of drilling throttle valve with large displacement.Through finite element analysis, the flow field inside the valve is simulated. The result shows that eddy current occurs in the annulus of the right-angle throttle valve, which reduces the flow capacity of the valve and is easy to form blockage.Combined with the field working conditions, the shape and size of cylinder throttle valve, wedge throttle valve and orifice plate throttle valve are compared and analyzed, and the advantages and disadvantages of each valve core are clarified.Based on the above analysis, the structure type of anti-clogging valve and valve core is proposed, and the corresponding improvement scheme is put forward.
