In the process of new construction or expansion,there are more and more cases of near parallel or cross operation between expressway and existing long-haul oil and gas pipelines.According to the relevant laws,regulations and standards of oil and gas pipeline and highway construction,this paper puts forward some protection measures under different circumstances,and provides some references for ensuring the safety of the new and extended expressway and the existing long distance oil and gas pipeline running in parallel or cross.
