Comparative Study of Crosslinked Povidone from Different Sources on the Process of Tablet Compression
Crosslinked povidone is a commonly used pharmaceutical excipients,which is a very good tablet disintegrator.It is also a free-flowing powder with moisture-inducing properties,and has good fluidity and plasticity.In this paper,a preliminary conclusion was drawn by comparing the tablet pressing conditions of products produced with crosslinked povidone from different sources,including the tablet pressing speed,the main pressure of the tablet press,the hardness and brittleness of the tablet,etc.,that is,the particle size distribution of crosslinked povidone may have a certain influence on the tablet pressing process.It provides the research direction for the next research on the problems of tablet compression speed not meeting the expectation,low hardness of plain tablet and chip breakage after coating.
