Exploration of Factors Influencing the Lifetime of Catalysts in C4 Olefin Conversion Unit Reactors
The C4 olefin conversion unit is a production unit that uses ethylene and unsaturated C4 to undergo disproportionation reaction to produce propylene. The main reaction equipment of the unit is the reactor.Based on the actual operating data of a certain factory, this paper studies the physical and chemical factors that affect the service life of the reactor catalyst,as well as the loss factors during normal use.Various end causes are analyzed one by one.The research results show that the service life of the catalyst is mainly affected by three factors:charge and pressure relief rate too quickly, interlocking torch release pressure, and high reaction temperature.Based on the above factors, different optimization measures can be formulated.By optimizing the reaction temperature, the lifespan of the catalyst can be doubled.By add a charge and pressure relief bypass route and optimizing the interlocking logic, the physical damage to the catalyst can be greatly reduced. The lifespan of the catalyst can be increased from the designed 2 years to 6 years.
