Analysis of influencing factors on lateral displacement of wrap reinforced soil retaining wall
In the current design codes, only some codes give the ratio range or empirical formula of the maximum panel displacement and wall height, and do not clearly point out the influencing factors of panel displacement.Through numerical simulation, this paper analyzes the influence of wrap reinforced soil retaining wall on the lateral displacement of the retaining wall under different design factors. The analysis results show that the designed reinforcement stiffness, length and spacing all have a significant impact on the lateral displacement of the reinforced soil retaining wall, and the parameters of the foundation soil and the backfill soil also have a significant contribution to the lateral displacement. The appropriate design value and the backfill soil should be selected according to the specific construction situation; In addition, the internal force of the reinforcement at the bottom of the retaining wall behind the natural angle of repose is close to 0,and the closer the reinforced area is to the bottom, the greater its elastic modulus is.Therefore, the panel displacement caused by reinforcement strain can be estimated without considering the reinforcement strain within the natural angle of repose.Since the modulus of the bottom soil layer is much larger than that of the top layer,it is more reasonable to consider the variation of the reinforced soil modulus with height when estimating the overall displacement.
