Influence of opening and inlet velocity of the ball valve on solid-liquid two-phase flow field
Ball valves are widely used in the fluid transport and flow regulation for the solid-liquid two-phase flow.In this paper, finite element software was used to investigate the flow field of a ball valve with different opening and inlet velocity, which had certain guiding significance for the design, manufacture, and the structure optimization of the ball valves. The results show that when the valve opening is large, the streamlines of the axial section are flatter, the pressure gradient, velocity gradient and flow resistance coefficient are smaller, and the flow state is more stable. When the inlet velocity is large, the streamlines of the axial section are more curved, the pressure and velocity change is more obvious, and the flow state is more derangement. However, the flow resistance coefficient has no relationship with the inlet velocity.
