Pervaporation performance of polyvinyl alcohol membrane in low w(ethanol)solution
The pervaporation behavior of polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)membrane in low w(ethanol)(w<5%)solution was investigated by changing the conditions of w(ethanol),temperature, and post membrane vacuum degree. The experimental results show that the permeation flux increases with the increase of w(ethanol),while the separation factor shows a downward trend, reaching a critical value of 3%.The permeation flux shows an increasing trend with the increase of temperature, while the separation factor shows a decreasing trend, reaching a critical value of 50 ℃.The permeation flux shows an increasing trend with the increase of vacuum degree after the membrane, while the separation factor shows a decreasing trend. The conclusions have a certain guiding effect on the permeation and vaporization behavior of PVA membranes.
