Non-homogeneous synthesis of 8-hydroxyquinoline by organic solvent method
The reaction of o-aminophenol and o-nitrophenol with acrolein in a mixed solution of hydrochloric acid and toluene to form 8-hydroxyquinoline at high temperature was carried out with the polymerization blocking agent of hydroquinone and catalyst of tetrabutylammonium bromide. The reaction conditions were as follows:n(o-aminophenol)∶n(o-nitrophenol)∶n(acrolein)∶n(hydroquinone)∶n(tetrabutylammonium bromide)=1∶0.5∶1.6∶0.01∶0.001,solvent V(toluene)∶V(hydrochloric acid)=1∶3,reaction temperature 120 ℃ acrolein feeding time was 6 h,after the dropwise addition was completed, the reaction was continued to reflux for 1 h.The final yield of the reaction was 72%.The reaction conditions are mild, the reaction yield is stable, and there are few impurities in the reaction process. The reaction reduced the difficulty of post-processing such as solvent recovery, and solved the difficulty of post-processing difficulty and large amount of waste in industrialization.
