Preparation of cerium-doped ZIF-67 for electrocatalytic oxygen evolution performance
Using cobalt and cerium nitrate hexahydrate as the metal ions,2-methylimidazole as the organic ligand, and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as the shape modifier,Ce-ZIF-67 nanocubes(Ce-ZIF-67 NCs)doped with varying Ce contents were prepared by a single step in an aqueous solvent. The results showed that 5%Ce-ZIF-67 NCs was the best electrocatalyst with an overpotential of 363 mV at a current density of 10 mA/cm2.The electron transfer resistance was 178.77 Ω.The doping of Ce has good ionic conductivity and reversible surface oxygen ion exchange ability, which optimizes the electronic structure of Co sites and thus enhances the oxygen evolution reaction performance of ZIF-67 NCs.
