Based on the existing structure of adjustable coupling guard,the theory of falling ball impact is briefly analyzed and its structure is optimized.The stiffness of the adjustable coupling guard before and after the structural optimization is qualitatively given through the physical ball impact comparison tests,and the evaluation method of impact safety conformity is modified also.Based on LS-DYNA,the finite element model of the adjustable guard was established,and the numerical simulation of steel ball impact before and after the structural optimization was realized.The impact stress cloud map of different structures,impact deformation and maximum transient deformation of the same node set were obtained,and the results were analyzed quantitatively.The results show that the optimized structure has better rigidity and higher security.
