Testing and Analysis on the Salt Water Corrosion Resistance of Infrared Stealthy Coatings
Using EPDM and EPDM grafted Maleic anhydride(EPDM-G-MAH)as binder, the infrared coating with low infrared emissivity was prepared by adding 20%copper powder pigment, and the failure mechanism and electrochemical parameters of the infrared coating in brine corrosion were analyzed. The results show that, the failure of infrared coatings due to corrosion is mainly caused by the increase in infrared emissivity caused by cuprous chloride(CuCl)formation of copper powder due to corrosion. The graft modification of EPDM enhances the compatibility between binder and metal pigment, reduces the porosity of coating, and enhances the corrosion resistance of infrared coating.
