Study on the Application of Electrolysis in the Treatment of High-Concentration Heavy Metal Electroplating Wastewater
In response to the problem of treating high concentration heavy metal electroplating wastewater, the electrolysis method was used to treat high concentration heavy metal ions in electroplating wastewater. The effects of current density, oxidant concentration, and pH on the treatment effect were investigated. The results showed that the removal rate of heavy metal ions in electroplating wastewater increased with the increase of current density; When the current density is 10 A/cm2,the removal rate of heavy metal ions increases continuously with the increase of the concentration of external oxidants; When pH<7,the removal rate of heavy metal ions decreases with the increase of pH,and when pH>7,the removal rate of heavy metal ions decreases with the increase of pH.Therefore, when the current density is 50 A/cm2 and pH is 7,the electrolysis method has a better effect on removing heavy metals, and there is a synergistic promotion effect between oxidants and electrolysis methods in removing heavy metals. This method has the characteristics of simplicity and high processing efficiency.
